El Fayoum lake and Wadi El Rayan waterfalls, Bahariya Oasis, White Desert chalk formations, Siwa’s salt lakes, and multi-day 4×4 safaris — all with Egyptologist and licensed desert guide.
Licensed Egyptologist
Private groups only
All fees included
Fayoum, Bahariya, and Siwa are Egypt’s three great oases — Fayoum for a day-trip from Cairo (lake, waterfalls, and Wadi El Hitan whale fossils), Bahariya for the White Desert chalk formations on a 2–4 day 4×4 safari, and Siwa for the remote 5-day adventure including the Great Sand Sea and Cleopatra’s Bath. Marvel operates 5 packages starting from a $127 day trip to Fayoum, up to a $797 five-day Siwa expedition. Every safari includes a Marvel driver, 4×4 vehicle, licensed Egyptologist for cultural sites, all entrance fees, and camping equipment on multi-day trips.
The Western Desert oases are Egypt’s quiet counterpoint to the Nile Valley. Fewer tourists, no crowds at monuments, and landscapes you won’t see anywhere else — hot springs, salt lakes, and the otherworldly White Desert chalk mushrooms. All Marvel oasis tours start from Cairo (or Alexandria on request).
Marvel’s 5 desert options:
All multi-day safaris are private (your group only), with camping in Marvel-vetted desert sites — not shared with other tour groups. Vehicles are 4×4 Toyota Land Cruisers with an experienced desert driver plus a licensed Egyptologist for the cultural stops.
October to April is safari season — daytime temperatures 22–28°C, cold desert nights (bring layers). May–September is very hot (40°C+) and generally avoided. Fayoum day trips work year-round. White Desert camping is spectacular November–February when nights are crisp and skies are clear for stargazing.
Pair a desert safari with Cairo, Alexandria, or a Nile cruise — Marvel operates all connections:
