Giza Pyramids Tethered Balloon Ride — Coming Soon

1 Hour

Tour overview

Coming Soon. Marvel Egypt Tours is preparing a private Giza day that can include the new tethered tourist balloon near the Pyramids of Giza — the first attraction of its kind around the site, according to Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

This is not a free-flying hot-air balloon. English-language reports in late August 2026 describe a balloon that stays tethered to the ground and moves only up and down, rising about 150 meters for about 15 minutes, with panoramic views and an audio commentary prepared under the Supreme Council of Antiquities (up to 12 languages).

The installation sits in the desert outside the immediate archaeological boundary — about 2 km from the pyramids and 2.2 km from the Great Sphinx — and is being delivered by Tashreef for Tourism Marketing with the French specialist Aerophile. Marvel does not operate the balloon. We will add it to your private itinerary when visitor tickets can be arranged.

Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy inspected the project on 30 August 2026 as it moved toward trial operation. Public sale dates and prices are not published yet.
